Eblouissante, half-sister to 2010 Horse of the Year Zenyatta, may make her next start in the Grade 3 Shuvee Stakes at Saratoga on July 20 according to trainer John Shirreffs.
The four year old filly has not run since winning an entry level allowance race at Santa Anita on January 17.
Since then, she has missed two races due to a minor injury and then spiking a fever.
The enormous filly, who is 2 for 2 so far in her career (both scintillating come from behind wins reminiscent of her older sister), worked five furlongs in 1:01.3 at Belmont Park last Friday morning.
Shirreffs said she could be ready for another race in either a second-level allowance or her first stakes start “towards the end of July.”
