The Oakland Raiders have finally made the playoffs with the win on Sunday over San Diego. There wasn’t much Fantasy production, expect for one person: Sebastian Janikowski. Janikowski was 4-4 in field goals and kicked one extra point. It was a grind out game until the Raiders showed the usual fight that they have shown throughout the season and got the win. Let’s take a look at who to start and who to sit for the Oakland Raiders as they come back to the Bay Area to face a hot Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts.
Who to Start
Latavius Murray was a big name coming into this Fantasy season, as he rushed his way into being the starting running back, while having the best starting offensive line in the NFL. Murray didn’t quite reach expectations in the beginning of the season, but is now showing that he belongs in the RB1/RB2 slot. The Colts defense has struggled against the run and with the Raiders’ fans rocking in the black hole, look for Murray to have a big-time game in championship week.
Who to Sit
Because it is championship week, the worst decision a Fantasy owner can make is starting a injury-ridden quarterback who hands the ball off nearly 20 times a week. Carr could bounce back in this game, especially knowing they are right behind the Patriots for the number one seed. Don’t count on it and go for a better matchup this week, while watching what Carr does this week to possibly start him next week.
Under the Radar
Kickers who can get in the range of low-tier quarterbacks in terms of points should always get the nod. Janikowski is getting a lot of great opportunities, as the veteran is capitalizing on every one. He has two 15 point games in the last three games and with Carr struggling, start Janikowski to finish the Raiders drives.
