With rumors that Paul George is in contact with the Cleveland Cavaliers, it may seem that Kevin Love could be traded whether it’s midseason or during this offseason. Here are some good potential spots that Love could end up.
Love could be headed to Indianapolis if the Love-George trade rumors come to fruition. In Indy, he could be a starter alongside Jeff Teague and could help the team on defense and help the Pacers in the paint as well. Right now, the Pacers only have Myles Turner who is a versatile force in the paint. A Love-Turner pairing in the paint would be deadly and could help the Pacers make a deep playoff run.
The Cavs could trade Love to the Sacramento Kings. They could try and work out a Rudy Gay-Love trade. Gay’s contract ends on July 1st. After that, he will become a free agent. Love, being a versatile player could help again in the paint with Willie Cauley-Stein. Love could also help mentor Cauley-Stein. Along with Ben McLemore would also help the team on the perimeter. Gay could help the Cavs from beyond the three point line.
New Orleans Pelicans
Love to the Pelicans? It might not be a bad idea. Love could go from playing for one “big three” and join another “big three” in Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins. The Cavs could also use Tyreke Evans with his midrange which the Cavs need some help on. But Love could end up in New Orleans if the Cavs decide to let Love go or put him on the trading spot.
Love could end up anywhere, but those three would be the best landing spots for him. George seems like a more versatile player than Love, but there are some lucrative markets that Love could end up at come July 1st.
