The Cleveland Cavaliers are usually always going to be in the news, whether it’s bad or good. This is largely because LeBron James is on the team, who might very well be the most talked about player in NBA history. So far this season, the Cavaliers have been on both sides of the spectrum.
Lately, the Cavaliers have been putrid on both sides of the ball. The recent struggles may have a lot to do with integrating Isaiah Thomas. He is finally back after missing around seven months with a hip injury.
The Cavaliers continued to struggle against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Steven Adams was a load in the paint, while Paul George lit it up from the perimeter. Throughout the game, the Cavaliers still appeared to go through the motions and not be on the same page on defense.
This has been an ongoing struggle for the Cavaliers with little to no improvement being shown. A bright spot against the Thunder was how Thomas played. He appeared to have more energy and was a scoring punch for the Cavaliers. It may be a tad too early to properly judge the Cavaliers with all the new integrations they have been dealing with.
One thing is for sure, the Cavaliers must get better on the defensive end or their season may end prematurely.
