Most of the starters from the 2017 Jacksonville Jaguars’ roster are returning for the upcoming season. On top of bringing back one of the best rosters in the NFL, they arguably got better at many positions this offseason, including offensive line and wide receiver.
Still, the Jaguars could still use a wide receiver like Dez Bryant or strongside linebacker in free agency, but they have a team that definitely should expect to make the playoffs.
Making the playoffs is an achievable goal, but the real goal is making it to the Super Bowl. Winning it would be great too, but the Jaguars want to at least make it to the big game this season.
The challenge is making it through the AFC, especially with teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots. Another team that could make a huge jump is the Houston Texans if Deshaun Watson and J.J. Watt can stay healthy.
The Jaguars should expect to make the playoffs, but saying the Super Bowl or else may be too high of an expectation with having to go through Tom Brady or the Steelers to get there. The Jaguars will be a great team again in 2018, and they have the potential to be the greatest team in franchise history with the talent they have entering this season.
