The 2018 NASCAR playoffs got off to a bang and it was a real hot one in the desert of Nevada. The playoff-opening race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was exciting, for many but most of the 16 drivers in the playoffs left the desert behind the ball in the standings. The heat played a major role in the outcome for over 10 of the 16 playoff drivers.
The momentum for #2 Brad Keselowski continued as he won his third win in a row and of the season. After winning at Darlington and Indianapolis, Keselowski returned to victory lane at Las Vegas on Sunday. It also marked Roger Penske’s 500th win in all of motorsports. The stage winners were #78 Martin Truex Jr and #2 Brad Keselowski.
