It has really been an up and down season for the Washington Redskins. Some weeks they look like contenders, while other weeks they look like major pretenders. They surely have the talent, but it sometimes feels like they don’t know their identity quite yet.

Last week, the Redskins were able to keep Ryan Fitzpatrick in check and came up with a huge win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The defense definitely carried the load and was able to create some key turnovers.
The offense on the other hand was very pedestrian and wasn’t clicking. A large part of the struggles probably came from the ton of injuries that they are dealing with on the offensive line. The makeshift offensive line will certainly be challenged against a strong Houston Texans’ defensive front.
With the NFC East struggling, the Redskins will look to create some separation and get a much needed win against the Texans. It will be interesting to see if Alex Smith and the offense can get something going despite the multitude of injuries that the Redskins are suffering from.
