The Green Bay Packers are one of the most talked about teams in the NFL. Easily, the reason is because of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is universally recognized as one of the best, if not the best quarterback in the game today.
The Packers are at a 4-5-1 record and are not in the best position to win their division with the Chicago Bears being 8-3 and the Minnesota Vikings being 5-4-1. Many have begun speculating whether or not the Packers can even make the playoffs. With the Packers remaining games, you can’t count the Packers out just yet.
The Packers’ remaining opponents are the Vikings, Cardinals, Falcons, Bears, Jets, and Lions. Four of those games: Cardinals, Falcons, Jets, and Lions, are all winnable games and can set the Packers up with a record of at least 8-5-1.
The biggest games for the Packers season is tonight against the Vikings and the Bears, who surprisingly are 8-3. As good as the Bears are, young teams like Chicago are vulnerable and can be beaten. Aaron Rodgers is that great. Give him some weapons and give him situations for him to work with and he can get it done.
Many have begun believing the Rodgers is flat-out overrated. Many won’t assign blame to Rodgers, however, he does deserve some blame. If you’re apart of situation, then you’re apart of the blame.
With that being said, Rodgers will be able to run the table and has a chance of making the playoffs. We saw it just a few years back when the Packers were 4-6 and later made an appearance to the NFC Championship Game. This doesn’t mean that it’ll happen again, but at least we’ve seen it happen. When everybody counts Rodgers out, he proves everyone wrong and later reminds the world why he is one of the best, if not the best quarterback in the league.
One of the biggest games for the Packers is tonight against the Vikings and it’s understandable to pick Minnesota as the winners. However, they’re a tad overrated. With quarterback Kirk Cousins signing there in the spring, many projected them to be a top-3 team in the NFC and it hasn’t worked out. The Vikings were demolished by the Buffalo Bills just earlier this season and that’s why you can’t rule the Packers out.
This is just a scenario, but if the Packers are able to defeat Minnesota on the road tonight, it can spark some momentum. They can easily defeat Arizona and Atlanta in Green Bay the following weeks after and will have been on 3-game winning streak.
The biggest game of their season will be against Chicago on the road in December. With a 3-game winning streak and all the momentum shifting to the Packers way, it makes sense for Rodgers to continue his greatness in Soldier Field and could possibly win in Chicago. If not, then it’s not the end of the world since there’s still two games against the Jets and the Lions.
Both the Jets and Lions have not lived up to their hype and expectations as both teams will probably be looking forward to losing games later in the season for a better draft pick. Expect Green Bay to finish the season with at least 8 wins this year and if they can defeat either Minnesota or Chicago, they will most likely fill the last spot for the wild-card spot in the NFC, and that’s all Rodgers needs.
